HHI Member Association Membership Benefits
1~Third-Party Liability Insurance –Provides Liability coverage for an eligible member who owns a standard bred horse that causes bodily injury or property damage. Policy provides $1,000,000 dollar occurrence/$5,000,000 aggregate.
2~Inland Marine /Animal Mortality coverage provides limited animal mortality coverage for an eligible member-owned Standardbred horse while at Scheduled Racetracks, Training Centers or Fair Grounds, of up to $15,000 for a horse which is racing, up to $5,000 for a horse in training, and up to $3,000 per horse for tack (with a maximum of $10,000 tack coverage for any one owner). 3~There is one change in the policy, if a horse dies you must submit a claim within 30 days with proof from vet.
NOTE: Coverages are excess over all other collectible insurance. Refer to actual policy
for a full description of all limits, coverages, limitations and exclusions.

Members of Harness Horsemen International and participating state associations can access a policy that provides Animal Mortality and General Liability coverage for standardbred horse owners.
The policy provided through Harness Horsemen International has been in existence for over 15 years and has met the needs of members across the country.
The program is designed to provide a basic level of protection on an excess basis for the horsemen who may not have their own Mortality or Liability coverage.
Members are encouraged to contact Harness Horsemen International, their local state association or Smith Brothers Insurance for more details including eligibility, limits, policy terms/ conditions and cost.
